Coaching for High-Achieving Leaders & Entrepreneurs

Different needs call for different coaching relationships.

Clarity Coaching™

A defined coaching engagement for something important that deserves deliberate attention.

Sometimes you need to think clearly about something specific.

A decision you’ve been circling.

A challenging work relationship.

A business opportunity.

A professional move or promotion.

Something you want to create.

Or something about your own leadership that you know needs to change.

With Clarity Coaching, the point is not simply to talk about it…

We’ll get clear about what is actually happening, what you want to be different, what may be getting in the way, and what decision, conversation, behavior, or action needs to happen next.

What we’re working toward

Let’s be honest… achieving clarity does not mean having every answer.

It means understanding the situation well enough to make a better decision and move with the right intention and purposeful outcome.

As your coach that sometimes means challenging an assumption you’ve been holding onto.

It could mean recognizing that the problem you thought you were solving is not actually the problem.

Sometimes it means getting very specific about what needs to change, what better looks like, and what you’re going to do about it.

The work we’ll do together is deliberate, but it is also practical. You leave our conversations with something clearer than when you came in.

Who it’s for

Clarity Coaching is for leaders, entrepreneurs, and experienced professionals with something identifiable in front of them that deserves focused work.

You may be a founder or CEO dealing with a consequential decision.

You may be an executive navigating a changing role.

You may be considering a professional transition, building something new, working through a difficult relationship, or trying to change something about the way you lead.

The common thread is that there is something specific you want to understand better, decide more clearly, or change deliberately.

How it works

Clarity Coaching has a defined beginning and end.

We typically work together through a set number of private coaching sessions, with a flexible cadence based on what you are working through. The engagement is designed to be used over several weeks to a few months… with more frequent conversations when something needs concentrated attention and more space when you need time to act, observe, and learn.

When it is useful, we may define one or more Calibrated Goals™ so we are clear about what better looks like, what needs to change, and how we will recognize meaningful progress.

At the end, we look honestly at what changed, what you learned, and what still needs your attention.

Then the engagement ends because it has done what it was designed to do.

Calibrated Coaching™

An ongoing coaching relationship that becomes more valuable as the context, history, and trust deepen.

The longer we work together, the less time we spend explaining where we’ve been and the more quickly we can get to what matters now.

That changes the coaching.

The relationship becomes calibrated to you.

Over time, I learn how you think and how you lead.

I learn your role, the authority you have, the culture you’re operating inside, the people around you, the pressures you carry, and the patterns that tend to show up in your decisions and relationships.

I know the names.
I remember the history.

I know what you said mattered six months ago, what you were trying to change, and whether what you’re saying today sounds different from what you were saying then.

That context helps us get beneath whatever happened this week and recognize when what you’re dealing with now is connected to something we’ve seen before.

You become calibrated to me, too.

You learn how I work.
You know how I ask questions.
You understand the language and frameworks I use.

You know when I’m challenging an assumption, when I think you may be missing something, and when I’m simply giving you room to think.

You can bring something into the conversation before you’ve fully figured out how to explain it.

You don’t have to reconstruct the entire backstory every time.
Sometimes a sentence is enough because we both know what sits behind it.
That means less time establishing context and more time doing the actual work.

The work keeps changing. We don’t keep starting over.

The issues you need help thinking through are not static.

As the company grows, your role changes, the people change, the decisions change, and new problems and opportunities keep showing up.

Sometimes we go deep about you…

Your mindset.

Your attitude.

A learned behavior that once served you but no longer does.

Something you need to see differently, do differently, or perhaps unlearn altogether.

Most of the time, we’re working with something happening right now.

  • A decision you need to make.
  • A person you’re trying to lead.
  • A difficult conversation.
  • An opportunity.
  • A problem that keeps resurfacing.
  • A relationship with someone above you.
  • Something happening inside the company that you need to understand before you decide what to do.

The situation changes… What we’ve learned together doesn’t disappear when it does.

That’s what makes the coaching calibrated.

The relationship becomes increasingly specific to you, the environment you lead in, and the work you’re actually doing.

The IDP Way is underneath all of it.

My work is grounded in Integrity. Dignity. Prosperity.

Integrity means we tell the truth about what’s happening, including the parts that may be uncomfortable to look at.

Dignity means I respect your competence and your authority. I’m not here to make decisions for you or create dependence on a coach. It also drives conversations about dignity with team members, your colleagues — even your boss.

Prosperity means the work stays connected to results. Better decisions. Stronger leaders. Healthier relationships. A better company.

Calibrated Coaching is most effective for you because you bring the business, the context, and the ownership.

I bring an outside perspective, hard questions, pattern recognition, and the willingness to challenge what needs to be challenged.

You do the leading. My job is to help you leave the conversation better equipped to do it.

That is what Leave It Better Leadership™ means here.

Who it’s for

Calibrated Coaching is for leaders who value having an established outside perspective in the conversation over time.

That includes founders, CEOs, executives, senior leaders, and others carrying meaningful responsibility inside an organization.

It works especially well when your role keeps changing as the company grows, when you’re developing other leaders, making consequential decisions, or dealing with situations where there is rarely one obvious answer.

It is also for leaders who understand the value of not having to start over every time something new happens.

You want someone who knows enough of the context to ask a better question sooner, recognize something you may not see, challenge you when it matters, and help you think more clearly without taking ownership of the decision away from you.

How it works

Calibrated Coaching is an ongoing coaching relationship. There are options for a longer term engagement, and some without a predetermined end date.

We typically meet twice each month, with flexibility when something happening in the business calls for a different cadence.

Between conversations, I keep thorough notes so I can return prepared and remember where we’ve been, what mattered, what changed, and what may still be unresolved.

You also have reasonable access between sessions when timing matters and the next scheduled conversation is too far away.

Not sure where to start?

That’s fine. We can talk through what’s happening in your company, what needs to get better, and whether there’s a way I can help.
